Ok, so that’s not ALL the stuff that we need for the nursery, but it’s a good start. We got Belle’s crib yesterday, and we got the furniture for our bedroom delivered last Saturday. Why furniture for us? Well, we bought the furniture that was in our bedroom from a lady that worked with my dad who was retiring and moving to Florida. We saw pictures of it, and it looked like normal size furniture, however, it was actually a lot smaller than it looked so all of our clothes didn’t fit. We had some of our clothes in our room and some in the dresser in the guest bedroom, but now that someone will be occupying the guest room all the time, we need to get our stuff out. We were just going to look on Craigslist or at a yard sale or two for used furniture, but I found a really good deal on a 8 piece bedroom suite that I couldn’t pass up. Jon was not so thrilled at first (because he wasn’t with me when I bought it), but, even though he would never admit it, I think he’s happy to be able to put his clothes in drawers!
I have decided on how I want to paint the nursery, but the biggest challenge is finding the right colors. I love the colors of the bedding, but I think that it might be a difficult task to match them. After the painting, we have to then decide what to put where and how, etc. There are so many things that I want to use. I have the table names from our wedding, and I found some fun butterflies at Hobby Lobby. I also want to put her name somewhere, and mom found a really cute silhouette of Belle from Beauty and the Beast that I want to frame and put up. They also have some really cute quotes and stuff to put on the walls of nurseries that I have been looking at. It's a really good thing that we have a few weeks to decide though because it may take me a while to get it just perfect for our princess!
Another exciting thing is that I’m for sure starting to feel her move and kick during the day. I think it’s easier now because I know what it feels like. Hopefully in the next few weeks she’ll be strong enough so that it can be felt from the outside and Jon can feel her move too. She is already getting startled by loud noises. The other day I went next door to visit Nan and Pops, and my dad was over there. He was talking to Pops, and his voice is really loud so when I walked in the room she started moving. I told dad that it's not a good sign that he’s already scaring her. I hope that she’ll be used to his voice by the time she’s born so it's no big deal.
Well, that’s what’s going on for now. Friday we have our 24 week appointment. Can you believe it’s been 24 weeks? Only 16 weeks to go!
