Time flies when you're having fun...

Today Belle is 10 weeks old.  I can't believe it!  The time is going so fast, and I can't believe that I will be going back to work in a month in a half.  I have no idea how women go back to work after 6 weeks.  There is no way I could have left her, but also there's no way I would have been able to stay awake for work!  I would imagine that's why my company gives new moms so much time off.  I am so glad that I have been able to watch her grow over the last two and a half months.

Her two month visit went well.  The doctor said she is perfect again which is definitely something mommy loves to hear!  She was 10 lbs 3 oz and 22.5 inches which means she's gained 2 pounds since she was born and has grown 3.5 inches.  Her daddy thinks that she'll be tall.  I hope so.  I don't want her to be abnormally tall for a woman, but I don't want her to be short like me because it's always been tough for me to find clothes that are in a short size.  She also got three shots at her visit, and she was a champ.  She cried for a few minutes, let mommy hug her and then went to sleep.  She slept for several hours after that, and I realized that maybe she had a low grade fever so I gave her some Tylenol and she was great for the rest of the night.  I was so proud of her!

Speaking of sleep and being proud, mommy finally got six hours of sleep last night!  The past two nights she slept from 11 PM to 3 AM, woke up but would only take about an ounce of formula before going back to sleep and then slept until 6 AM one morning and 8 AM the next morning.  Yesterday, I kept feeling her to see if she had a fever because she had never slept so long.  Last night I tried putting a little bit of cereal in her bottle, and she slept from 11 PM to 5 AM.  It was amazing!  I was a little apprehensive about putting cereal in her bottle because we tried that a few weeks ago, and she didn't take well to it.  I guess she wasn't ready yet.  I am hoping that she will continue to sleep through the night, but we'll see.  She's also starting to smile on purpose.  She loves to hear her daddy's voice.  Last weekend he was in NJ, and we Skyped so that Grammy and Aunt Rachel could see her and everytime she would hear her daddy's voice It was cute.  She's also starting to swat at her baby gym toys.  At first I thought that it was that she was moving her arms and accidentally hit the toys, but then I was watching her, and she was looking at them, would swat at them, and only smile when she hit them.  It's adorable, and I love watching her.  Another things she's starting to like is her swing.  When we first got it, we would put her in it, and she would scream, but now she loves it.  She sits there and watches her mobile go around and around and eventually she falls asleep.

It seems as though now that she actually likes her swing, she is transitioning into hating tummy time.  She used to LOVE tummy time.  Now she'll play for a minute but then she just cries.  I think that she gets frustrated because she's trying to roll over but can't.  She also tries to roll over from her back to her tummy.  She gets less frustrated when she's on her back.

Well, I have fussy baby right now so more on Belle's progress a little later.  I promise I'll try to do better with writing.
